Los Mitoteros are a Milwaukee based Latin ensemble who perform a healthy mix of Mexican Regional repertoire and Latin Jazz standards rooted in Afro Caribbean traditions. Formed in September 2021, the group started as a passion project between long time friends Ryder Haferman & Tlalok Rodriguez. Since then the group has expanded into a more polished latin band. Los Mitoteros do a mix of cumbia, salsa, merengue, boleros, and bossa nova, with a dynamic live sound driven by their 6 piece horn section. Their performances pull from a wide range of Latin American influences, making for an engaging listening experience.
Known for their energetic stage presence and large ensemble format, Los Mitoteros bring a latin sound that feels both classic and alive. The band features original compisitions from multiple members including Ben Skrade, Mike Arndt II, Tlalok Rodriguez, & Anthony Kopczynski. Additionally, Los Mitoteros are known to push the boundries and get experimental when the venue calls for it. Alongside their Latin jazz foundation, the band takes pride in representing Mexican culture through regional repertoire that never fails to get the party started.
Whether performing at festivals, concert venues, weddings, or community events, Los Mitoteros always focus on delivering live music that feels vibrant, expressive, and authentic.
